The Ag. Chief Director of the Information Services Department, Mr. David Owusu-Amoah has engaged Regional Public Relations Officers (PROs) ahead of the end of year PROs Review Meeting and Awards in Accra on Friday, 26 November, 2021.
The event, forms part of the mandate of the Ministry of information to harmonize government communications nationwide.
In line with this, the Ministry in collaboration with Information Services Department, has rolled out an online real-time Public Relations Management tool called BONSU, which is used to effectively coordinate the work of all PROs of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
As part of this initiative, the ministry has enrolled all Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) PROs on Government Online Reporting Platform, and further urged them to actively participate in this year’s review meeting.
This platform hosts Reports from PROs, Media Engagements, Upcoming Events of MDAs and PR Alerts.
The Ag. Chief Director, urged PROs to work hard in the field as part of their quota towards achieving the stated goals of the ministry and the country at large.
He presented a book entitled “THE COMMUNICATION BOOK: 44 IDEAS FOR BETTER CONSTRUCTIONS EVERYDAY” to enhance the communication skills of PROs.
The PRO for Western Regional Coordinating Council, Charles Kobena, on behalf of PROs expressed gratitude to the Ag. Chief Director, the Head of PRCD and the supporting ISD for the warm reception.
He assured the Director of the commitment of PROs to work hard to achieve the stated goals of ISD and the ministry as a whole.
