20,000 Jobs To Be Created For Health Professionals Under Agenda 111 Project-Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has hinted that about 20,000 jobs would be created for health professionals when the Agenda 111 project is fully operational.

According the the President, the 111 hospital projects when completed would mean that, the government would have to increase the workforce in the health sector to ensure efficient and speedy health delivery.

He made the statement on Tuesday August 17,2021 at a ground breaking event to start the Agenda 111project at Trede in Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

The hospital projects are expected to be completed in 18 months.

So far, about 88 sites have been identified with 250 domestic contractors ready to start construction.

The President said, his government would build 101 new fit-for-purpose district hospitals, six new regional hospitals, two specialist hospitals for the middle and northern belts, redevelopment of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital and one extra regional hospital for the Western Regions.
