A 38-year-old farmer by name Akwasi Broni, who was reported missing in the bush on Sunday 26th September 2021, in a community called Sefwi Aboabo near Subri-Nkwanta in the Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region has been found dead in the forest.
Opanin Kwame Osei, father of deceased in interview explained that, the unfortunate incident took place when his son went for hunting on Sunday 26th September 2021, hunting in the forest and could not returned home at his usual time.
He reported matter to the Community elders and the Traditional leaders to organized a search party to look for the deceased in the next day but the deceased was not found.
Natives of the community subsequently, embarked on search for the deceased but to no avail, until ten days later that the deceased decomposing corpse was discovered in the deep forest.
The deceased left behind a wife and five children.
Madam Dories Obeng, wife the Deceased, said the day her husband left home for the hunting, she began to panic in the evening because the dogs he went with turned home without her husband so she quickly called on the deceased family members to verify as to weather her husband was there but the response was negative until his decomposed was descovered.”
Supredendent Augustine Kwaku Mensah , the Bibiani District Police commander stressed that the caused of his death is not immediately known.
He indicated that the Police and Doctors have been collaborated to investigates to establish the circumstances leading to his death.
