A New Patriotic Party (NPP)-bias group in the Atwima Nwabiagya North of the Ashanti Region is rooting vigorously for Mr Osei Assibey Bonsu to lead the Party in the constituency.
Myvoicenews understands that he is competing with the incumbent, Nana Kwaa Dwomoh and Mr Bobie Ansah for the chairmanship slot.
Calling itself as “Friends of Assibey” with hundreds of supporters across the Constituency, the Group believes, Mr Assibey Bonsu is the best choice if the Party wants to increase its support base, and “Break the Eight”.

Osei Assibey Bonsu is the former Research and Elections officer of the governing NPP in ATWIMA NWABIAGYA CONSTITUENCY /ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH CONSTITUENCY when the Constituency was divided into two , he served in same capacity and serve the party well.
He is also one of the longest-serving Officer of the NPP in history of the Constituency from ATWIMA NWABIAGYA CONSTITUENCY to the created ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH CONSTITUENCY.
He served as a Polling station youth organizer at Abuakwa ,he rose to polling station secretary and subsequently polling station chairman and later became the Research officer.
It was under his turnure as research officer that the Constituency presented the 100% accurate pink sheets for the famous 2012 Election petition.
He is the only man who has held virtually every position at the party grassroot (polling station ).
That has given him a vast experience in the grassroot politics.
Prior to his rise to the Constituency Research Officer, he served the party well at the grassroots from Polling Youth organizer Station Chairman.
He is a grassroot campaigner and has mentor a lot of youth in the party some of which holds various Constituency positions .
He is a Chrismatic leader , affable,generous and above all competent .
