The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South East, Hon. Thomas Owusu Ansah has ended his maiden tour of the district at Nsuta on Tuesday December 21, 2021.
The tour began on Monday November 22 ,2021.
It afforded the DCE an opportunity to introduce himself and interact with traditional leaders, clergy, Muslim leaders, and stakeholders in the district for the first time in office.
He also used the opportunity to expressed his appreciation to Assembly Members endorsing him during his confirmation election and appealed to them and other stakeholders to support him to succeed in office.
Thus far, the DCE and his entourage were able to visit about 99 per cent of communities in district.
Addressing a durbar of traditional leaders, assembly member, unit committee members and the public at Nsuta, the DCE said he was happy with hearty reception by stakeholders in district during his tour.
He appealed to them to rally behind him to ensure speedy development of the district.
He stated that peaceful coexistence between stakeholders was paramount to ensuring development of the district, and therefore urged them to desist from actions which could disturb the peace and unity among them.
He assured that, electrification, basic infrastructural, potable source water among other challenges put before him by stakeholders during his tour had been noted and would be dealt with in due course.
“I can assure you by the end of First Quarter of 2022, you will all see something positive out of my tour of the district”, the DCE stated.
Nana Ama Konadu, the Queen mother of Nsuta thanked the DCE for visiting the communities to obtain first hand information and baffling challenges on issues confronting the people.
She said stakeholders would support him to make good name for himself and the government during his tenure of office, and advised him to visit communities regularly.
Communities visited were Biemso No.1 & No.2, Sabronum, Nsutem, Asuadei, Aburaso, Pokukrom, Potrikrom and Banokrom.
Bonsukrom, Abesewa, Ahwerewam, Gyaukrom, Bonakrom, Akwatiakrom among many others were visited the DCE and his entourage.
The DCE was joined in his tour by District Assembly staff and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials in the district headed by Mr Kwadwo Owusu, Constituency Chairman.
