Celebrated actor and politician John Dumelo has expressed his intention to help the Chief of Aflao to complete a Community Day Senior High School(SHS) in his paramountcy following the President’s retort that the Chief could as well go ahead and complete the project if he was frustrated about the non-completion of the school facility.
John Dumelo said he is prepared to donate 100 bags of cement or desks to the Paramount Chief to help him with the process of completing the project.
“If the President is saying Togbe Fiti should complete it himself, no problem. I will donate 100 bags of cement or desks to the Paramount Chief to start the completion process,” Dumelo revealed.
The President has come under criticism for saying that the Paramount Chief should go ahead execute the project to its completion if the Government’s inability to finish it up frustrates him. The Chief had earlier appealed to the Government, specifically the education minister, to ensure the completion of the project by February when the next academic begins.
But reacting to it on Accra-based Peace Fm, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo did not take kindly to the chief giving an ultimatum to the education minister to complete the project.
President Akufo-Addo stated that if the chief is frustrated about delay in the completion of the project then he should go and complete it himself.
