The Paramount Chief of Sefwi Chirano Traditional Area, in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah lll, has expressed his deepest sympathy to the victims and bereaved families of the tragic incident which occurred at Appiatse.
About 14 people have been reported dead, following the road accident involving explosive laden truck and a motorcycle at Appiatse a Community near Bogoso which has also rendered many homeless.
“As a Paramount Chief of Chirano Traditional Area who doubles as the Vice President of the Western North Regional House of Chiefs, I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the lost precious souls and also to those who are seeking medical care a speedy recovery” .
The Omanhene further stated that it is very heartbreaking to hear that an accident took away lives of innocent people who are breadwinners within a wink.
He prayed to the Almighty God to give the affected families the strength to quell those painful times.
Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah lll, used also the opportunity to thank the Management of Kinross, Chirano Gold Mines Limited for their kind gesture to support the victims of Appiatse-Bogoso disaster with relief items.
He, therefore, appealed to philanthropists, well wishers to support government to as a matter of urgency to rebuild the devastated community.
