STATEMENT BY SIR-BENJAMIN OPPONG
I have been overwhelmed with avalanche of support from the day I boldly took a firm decision to join the race for the MCE position in Sefwi Wiawso Constituency having dedicated my precious life as a servant to the party in various capacities.
Infact, words alone cannot express my joy particularly in respect of the love shown me by those who actually had confidence in my capabilities as an administrator of the party.
Let me at this juncture plead with the party grassroot who may be in rancor as a result of this appointment to *remain calm and resolute for the interest of the party* which sits at the topmost corner of the normative pyramid carries an overriding force amidst any other interest. I have called Hon Louis Owusu-Agyepong to congratulate him on his re-nomination to the highest office of the land.
St. Francis of Assisi who was once an Italian Catholic friar, deacon, mystic, and preacher and a founder the men’s order of Friars Minor admonishes all of us to be instruments of thy peace even where there is despondency.
I wish to end here by once again congratulating the incumbent Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso Municipality, Hon Louis Owusu-Agyepong. I shall always be available to lend my fervent support to him when the need arises for the goodness of the party.
To all those who couldn’t make it, I wish them a better luck next time. May God bless us all and make the NPP strong.
Long live Npp
Long live Sefwi Wiawso
Long live Western North
