After the overthrow of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on February 24th,1966 and his
subsequent death, there were strategically calculated plans to completely erase the good name
of the founder of Ghana because of his revolutionary attempt to liberate the whole of Africa
from the shackles of colonialism and neo-colonialism through the application of the principles
of scientific socialism.

When his opposers realized his very influential advocacy for Pan￾Africanism, there was an instruction by the then government to pull down and burn all
documents about Kwame Nkrumah ranging from his pictures, books to journals even after his
death. Additionally, most of the successful projects he had completed and commissioned were
changed from his name. Like every man has his own short falls Nkrumah had his but that was
not enough grounds to cleanse his good name especially after he had been overthrown and had
taken refuge in Guinea, where he was made a co-president in that country. Dr.Kwame Nkrumah has been immortalized as the founder of Ghana in the hearts and minds of many Ghanaians, other Africans and persons of African descent all over the world.

Dr.Kwame Nkrumah inspired subsequent independence movements throughout Africa. He became Ghana’s first prime Minister in 1952 and later first president of Ghana all along Nkrumah never gave up the ideas of fighting colonialism Dr. Kwame Nkrumah went to initiate the setting up of teacher training colleges in Ghana. Successes, Ghana is the worlds second largest cocoa producer behind ivory Coast and Africans bigger gold miner after south Africa.

It is one of the continent fastest growing economic and made major progress in the attainment and consolidation of growth. Significant progress has been made in poverty reduction. During his regime the state was owned most of the factories but now what do we see? We must go back for it. The biggest question is where is the Golden Age of Business which happens to be one of the popular slogan in Ghana some years back? Let’s us practicality the slogan Ghana beyond aid. We join other collective of the socialist movement of Ghana and the progressive Ghanaian community in observing September 21st as the only founder day. Happy birthday Nkrumah month to all comrades

Happy founder’s Month
