Bibiani NPP Executives Account for Stewardship

The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held it Annual Delegates Conference in Bibiani Municipality over the weekend.

The program which sought to bring all the constituency executives under one roof to account for their stewardship for the last four years in office to the electorates was organised in three separate zones due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The various venues were Methodist Conference hall at Sefwi Bekwai, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) at Subiri Nkwanta and Calvary Methodist Church Auditorium Bibiani.

Speaking at the programme, the Member of Parliament (MP)for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng was thankful to the party executives and the entire constituents for the confidence reposed in him by given him the opportunity to represent them in Parliament for the next years.

He outlined the various projects from his own resources such as 25 mechanized boreholes, distribution of 45,000 rubber seedlings, I.C.T Centre project, KG block, proposed cassava processing factory and sponsorship for Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Mock exams from the MP’s share of the Common Fund.

Mr Obeng Boateng told the gathering that he would monitor all the road contracts and other government projects awarded in the Municipality to ensure full completion of the projects for usage.

He hailed the NPP government for prudent policies and programmes particularly, successful implementation of free SHS, and urged parents to take advantage of the policy to send their wards to school.

Mr Obeng Boateng admonished supporters to be united and rally behind him for more development.

Mr Alfred Amoah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai for his part, tasked the community members to inculcate the attitude of regular hands washing with soap under running water, wearing of nose mask, and maintain social distancing to curtail the spread of the COVID-19.

On bird flu disease, he indicated that, some cases had been recorded in the Municipality and efforts were being made to mitigate the spread of the disease, and loses to poultry farmers.

Mr Amoah further appealed to the gathering to inform their wards who applied for the government scholarship that, the scholarship secretariat would begins the interview of the shortlisted applicants in the Municipality come Wednesday 25, August, 2021.

Mr Joseph Halifax Amandeh, the constituency secretary gave vivid account of the current state of the party in the Constituency.

He bemoaned that, the major plight of the party in the Constituency was lack of office space for the party administrative activities.

He hinted that the party was operating from the MP’s office which was not the best.

Mr Samuel Adu-Agyei, the Western North Regional Organizer for New Partrotic Party (NPP), who represented Regional Chairman at the event, in his address commended the electorates for their immense contributions for a pacesetting in Western North Region as far as maintaining Parliamentary seat is concerned.

Mr Adu-Agyei thanked the MP for maximizing the total vote cast for the NPP and encouraged him to work hard for future endeavours.

He urged the supporters to shrik from divisive tendencies and forge together for total peace and unity among themselves to ensure rapid development.
