Breaking News: Armed Robbers Attack BECE Candidates At Sefwi Nsawura



A credible information reaching Myvoicenews.com indicate that armed robbers have attacked BECE candidates at Sefwi Nsawura in the Akontombra District of the Western North Region.

The two robbers who were wielding alleged locally manufactured guns and sharp knives took away six mobile phones and cash of 3,758 Ghana cedis from students and teachers of Future Noble Academy School at Obengkrom near Sefwi Akontombra who were logging at Sefwi Nsawura for the ongoing 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to Mr Stephen Owusu a teacher and a victim, the robbering incident occoured at 2:00 am on Tuesday, 16th Novermber, 2021.

The victim said, one of the teachers who was not deeply asleep prior to incident saw the armed robbers breaking into their rooms and shouted at his roommates to wake up to resist the attack.

In the of process resisting attack, one of the teachers and a student were deeply wounded by the robbers who later took to their heels following the resistance by the victims.

Meanwhile the source said the two victims who were deeply wounded were rushed to Nsawura government hospital for medical treatment.

The case has since been reported at Sefwi Nsawura Police Station for an investigation to be conducted to arrest the culprits.
