Come Home And Let’s Build Our District Together- DCE for Ahafo Ano South-East Appeals to Natives

A clarion and passionate appeal has been made by the District Chief Executive ( DCE) for Ahafo Ano South-East, Mr Thomas Owusu Ansah to natives asking them to visit their home District and contribute meaningfully to its development.

According to the DCE, if the government alone is left to foot the bill for developmental projects, it will take the District a long time to find solutions to development related problems.

Mr Owusu Ansah reechoed his converted campaign for speedy development of his District in his address at 65th Independence Day Parade held at Adugyama on March 6, 2022.

He said, he is looking forward to see well-meaning natives of the Area willingly contributing their bit towards total infrastructural development and human capacity development regardless of which political party is in power.

As part of effort to assemble natives living in and outside the District to contribute their bit for development agenda set by the local leadership, a programme christened “Ahafo Ano South-East District Home Coming has been launched.

The programme, all things being equal, is expected to take place from April 15 to April 17, 2022 at Fawoman.

Per organisers report, there will be mammoth durbar on the Day One to mark the opening of the three days fully packed activity event.

The climax of the programme will be the third day.

Though detail activities for the Home Coming Programme are yet to be made public, however, organisers can confirm that, each day there are expecting not less than 2000 participants at the event venue.

Funds will be raised during the programme for the start of a nursing and midwifery training college, boarding facilities for Adugyama and Sabronum SHSs, Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) school, and to establish education fund.

The general public including well-to-do individuals living in and outside District, corporate bodies, traditional leaders, members of religious beliefs, politicians, philanthropists, the media among others will be invited to contribute to the success of the event.

Readers will be updated with full details of events marking the Ahafo Ano South-East District Home Coming Programme in subsequent publications.
