Don’t Be Nervous, You Will Pass- DCE Gives BECE Candidates Hope

Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates have been advised to keep their composure in examination centre and do their best to pass successfully.

Furthermore, they were told by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South-East, Mr Thomas Owusu Ansah that, there was no way they were going to fail if they depend on what their teachers have taught them.

The DCE advised the students when he toured BECE examination centres in the District on Wednesday October 19, 2022.

The centres are Adugyama SHS, Asuadei D/A School, Pokukrom D/A School and Sabronum Methodist SHS.

He assured them, he was ready to support students who would excel in the examination.

About 1,239 students registered for the BECE in the District. Out of the total, 649 were male and rest were female, the Ahafo Ano South-East District Directorate of GES have recorded.

The record has it that, three students did not participate in the ongoing examination. One students, a boy, is reported dead whiles two others boys failed to participate in the examination without reason.

Mr Hamid Kramo, District Director of Education told the BECE candidates to work hard to pass in their examination so that they would take advantage of the Free SHS Policy and the promise made by the DCE as their predecessors benefited.

Also with the DCE during the tour were Mrs Joyce Fosuah, GES Head of Supervision, Mr Stephen Hammond, Head of STEM/TVET and Mr Thomas Awuah Asem, District Information Officer.
