Final Funeral Rites of Our Dear Colleague Tracy Phillis Cobbinah.

The late Tracy Philips Cobbinah popularly known in the media fraternity as Tracy was born to Mr Cobbinah Tamakloe and the late Francisca Kwamina in the year 1980, Sister Akos, as we call her started basic education at Wisdom Preparatory School at Enchi, Wisdom Preparatory School being the first private school at Enchi started having administration problem.

Her mother who was also a teacher saw it necessary to withdraw her from the school.

Tracy then transferred to Bogoso Star Preparatory School, she attained her Junior Secondary School Certificate in the year 1995.

She was then enrolled to Asankragwa Secondary School in 1996 and gained Senior Secondary School Certificate in 1999 as a business student.

Tracy has always planned to further her education in Accra. It was at this point she met a veteran Ghanaian broadcaster at the house of Aunty Agnes Sonfo (former Member of Parliament (MP) for Wassa Amenfi West)

The voice of Tracy attracted Tommy Annan Forson and advised Aunty Agne to enroll her daughter to a Journalism school because to him Tommy, she may be a good present on both radio and Television, Mrs Agnes Sonfo got Tracy to listen to Tommy himself and her journey of Journalism.

She got admission to study Journalism at Rabodef which made her attain diploma in certificate in Mass Communication and Journalism.

Because of her voice and how fluently she speaks. She already got a part-time job at GBC before Tracy was even enrolled to the Journalism school.

Tracy was then advised by one Mr. Bernard Forson jnr (GBC Director General) to go and work as guest artist at Uniik Fm, Sefwi Wiawso, Since then, Tracy never looked backed on her journey and further took various courses of Journalism at both GIMPA and Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).

Our sister Tracy had a gift of innovative thinking, self-determination, ambitiousness, hardworking and leadership skills required to successfully lead a meaningful reform at a work place.

Having observed those qualities in her by the then Western Regional Director of GBC Phil Badu. She was promoted and transferred to head GBC AS Radio at Enchi, Because she was committed to improving and reforming Journalism.

She was able to transform GBC As Radio to a formidable station to rekon with at Enchi.

Tracy was the head of the GBC branch AS Radio at Enchi before her suddenly demise.

The Western North Journalists Association will never remembered you, for your hardwork, dedication, honest, affable, socialble, respectful and your down to earth attitude.

Tracy may soul rest in perfect peace.
