The Ex-President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for the Election 2020 has vowed to serve as a polling station agent come 2024 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
He was optimistic that with vigilance, free and fair elections NDC party stands the chance of winning the 2024 elections to save Ghanaians from the current hardship situation under Akufo-Addo’s administration.
Mr Mahama said, the NDC would no longer depend on the Supreme Court to determine it’s victory or otherwise in subsequent elections but work harder to win at the polling stations and the collation centres.
This came to light when the former President paid a one-day visit to the Western North Region as part of his post-election nationwide “Thank You” tour.
At Sefwi Juaboso, where the former President met the regional executives, members and supporters of the NDC party urged them to remain resolute in their continue support of the party towards victory in the election 2024.
The former President before meeting with party executives, paid separate courtesy calls on the chiefs and elders at Suaman Dadieso, Sefwi Bonzai and Bodi to express his heartfelt appreciation for their support and overwhelming endorsement during the 2020 general genections.
The visit also afforded the former President the opportunity to paid courtesy on the family of the late former Western North Regional Organizer for the party, Mr Thomas Kwaku Asienea to express his condolences.
Mr Mahama also call for peace and unity among the party executives and grassroots members particularly, Sefwi Akontombra constituency executives and tasked them to propagate the good works that had been undertaken in the area during the previous administration.
He was confident that with hard work, the two seats that has been clinched by NPP in the region would be brought back to NDC in 2024.
Nana Kwasi Ofori ll, the chief of Bodi who spoke on behalf of the Bonzai chief was thankful to the former President for the “Thank You” tour and honour done them.
He appealed to the former President to fix their deplorable roads network and also construct telephone mast for the area to ensure the well-being of people, when his bid to become President in the second time materialized.
