The Greater Accra Region has recorded the highest number of licensed lawyers with 2,530 lawyers , per the Ghana Bar Association official report as at June 19, 2021.
The second is Ashanti Region with 306.
According to the report about 118 lawyers are classified as non-affiliation, meaning they do not belong to a particular region.
An information available at the GBA portal has it that, Western Region has 64 lawyers, Central Region 54, Eastern Region 42, Northern/North East/ Savannah Regions 21, Volta/Oti 17 and Upper East 14.
The region with the lowest number of licensed lawyers is Upper West with only four lawyers.
