Kwame Kontor Boateng, the host of Lord 107.1 fm and News Report for Despite Media, on Saturday, 18th December, 2021, has successfully won Western North Media Festival Awards.
Speaking with Kwame Kontor Boateng Lord fm, stated that he gives thanks to the almighty God and his listeners who supported him financially, spiritually and physically to win the award.
He said, he’s happy that Lord fm image has been lifted higher and promise to work harder to achieve more for the media career. Among his contenders are Awuku Addo of Okyeame radio, Natty Bongo of Liberty fm and Otafregya of sunset radio which he emerges winner over them.
Kwame Kontor Boateng obtained his Journalism training from Otec School of Journalism and Communications in Kumasi after a successful completion in the year 2010.
He had the opportunity to worked at EMMAC Fm, in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua after his mandatory attachment at Otec fm in Kumasi.
Following his honesty, humble, respectful, affable, down to earth, hardworking and above all God fearing Journalist who seeks unity and welfare of his comrades is currently the morning show host and news editor of the local based radio station at Sefwi Bekwai (Lord Fm) in the Western North Region.
Kwame has married a beautiful wife and blessed with two children.
Lord fm Bags 9 awards at the just ended Western North Media Festival Awards which saw Mic Jones win Drive time host of the year and beaten Abigiabigi of faith Fm.
Akosua Etornam won the Personality of the year and female Journalist of the year.
Hajia Nimatu Wakilu wins the best Mid-Morning Show Host of the year which gave Lord fm manager, Kwaku Fosu, win the manager of the year.
The Lord fm staff has promised to achieve more in the national level and lift the name of Sefwi Bekwai and Western North high.
