The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South-East, Mr Francis Adabor-Manu has donated a brand new motor bike to the 2020 District Best Farmer.
The gesture was in fulfilment of promise he made during the last year’s Farmers Day celebration.
Mr Musah Mohammed, an outstanding farmer at Sabronum-Akwatiakrom was the overall best farmer for 2020 and took away valuable prize.
However, in his quest to further motivate Mr Musah Mohammed to work beyond his limit, the PM who has agriculture at heart promised to purchase a motor bike for the Farmer.
Presenting the motor bike to last year’s District Best Farmer, the MP said he was overly delighted when he visited the farmer in his farm sometime ago.
“I saw that this farmer was doing very well and deserves plaudit and commendation.
He has taught his children some agriculture practices and they need little or no supervision to put them to practise”, Mr Adabor-Manu told the gathering.
Receiving the gesture, the 2020 District Best Farmer was full of praise for the MP for honouring his promise.
“Permit me to praise our hard working PM for this gesture. He has shown leadership and concern for farming”, he stated.
The gesture, the recipient said, would spare him on to work extra harder.
