The town folks and supporters of the ruling New Partrotic Party (NPP) at Sefwi Bosomoiso a community near Sefwi Wiawso yesterday gave the NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr Michael Kwarteng a hot chased with high tone of hooting.
The unfortunate incident occurred when the Chairman attempted to hold a meeting with the NPP members at Sefwi Bosomoiso, popularly known as Wiawso Bantama since the community serve as a NPP strong hold in Sefwi Wiawso Constituency.
Some of the aggrieved NPP members claimed they have resigned from the NPP party following the unfair treatment meted out to the Bosomoiso community by the NPP after winning power.
According to the angry mob, they have been loyal and committed to the Party in several elections but the community had been totally neglected in terms of development.
Some were of the view that, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi Wiawso constituency, Dr Kwaku Afriyie came to promised the community members of numerous social amenities when given the nod in the 2020 general election but to no avail.
Others also gave a typical reference to their road which saw a sod-cutting ceremony by the President in 2018 and had been abandoned till date.
They also blamed the MP for the area for his disappointing and fooling them after amassing an overwhelming votes from the community members to win power for the second term, And have vowed not to vote for Dr. Kwaku Afriyie and the NPP party as a whole again for not fulfilling their promises.
The community members cited poor road, lack of portable drinking water, and employment for the youth as their major challenge.
