As part of the efforts to secure other alternative livelihood for the Persons With Disability (PWD’s) in Bibiani and it’s surrounding in the absence of illegal mining, Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng, the lawmaker for Bibiani- Anhwiaso- Bekwai has taken it upon himself to support his constituents with alternative livelihood.
This was embellished in a gesture from the MP to Mr. Amos Osei, a physically challenged person.
Mr Osei became disabled through a fatal road accident some years ago.
Inspite of his disability, Mr. Osei desires to set up a business to cater for himself and family.
The business will involve the sale of recharge cards, credit transfer and mobile money transactions among others.
An undisclosed amount of money on a cheque was presented to Mr. Osei Amos by Mr. Obeng-Boateng as start up capital.
The MP encouraged him to work hard, adding that “disability is not inability.”
He was optimistic that the support would go a long way to lessen his burden when properly managed.
Mr Amos Osei was thankful to the MP for his kind gesture and assured him of working very hard to sustain the business.
