President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, has commissioned a one-story office complex for the Ahafo Ano South-East District Assembly(AASEDA) in the Ashanti Region to provide a conducive environment for their day to day administrative activities.
Immediately after exchanging pleasantries with the chief of Adugyama, Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko and his elders, Assembly Members and the New Patriotic Party faithfuls who were clad in party t-shirts and paraphernalia, the President was led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Thomas Owusu Ansah to cut the tape for official commissioning of the beautiful office edifice.
The President was accompanied by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP, Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako, and the Regional Organiser, Mr Francis Adomako to the event.
Also present at the event were the DCE for Ahafo Ano South West, Mr Joseph Bonsu Frimpong, the Presiding Member for AASEDA, the District Coordinating Director Mr Kaleem Abdallah and NPP constituency chairman of the Ahafo Ano South East, Mr Kwadwo Owusu.
Though time did not allowed the President to address the gathering, he engaged in a short chat with the DCE and the chief of Adugyama before his departure.
Speaking to Myvoicenews.com after the event, Mr Owusu Ansah thanked the President the gesture and promised to make good use of the facility to deepen democracy.
A one-storey district administration block was began in 2019 and was completed in 2021.
Staff of the AASEDA had been working in a congested office accommodation since it was created in March 15, 2018.
