President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inspected ongoing works on a 38-km Benchema Barrier to Adjoafua road in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The project, which is funded by Ghana Cocobod and worth US 43,120,738.00 is expected to be completed by June 2022.
The President, after inspecting the road commended the Amandi Investment Limited for good work done and urged the contractor to execute the project within specifications and timelines.
He said the road project were important that it must be durable and must therefore stand the test of time for generations unborn to benefit.
The President in his earlier statement said, Bia East District was one of the beneficiary of the government Agenda (111) initiative of which, the project when completed would go along way to assist the residents to get access to health care delivery and also enhance farmers to transport their farm produce to the market centres.
The contractor, assured the President to complete the project on schedule in order to ensure to and fro of motorists in the area.
The President was accompanied by the Western North Regional Minister, Mr Richard Ebbah Obeng, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Dan Kwaku Botwe, Minister for Roads and Highways Mr Kwasi Amoako Atta, Minister for Chieftantincy Lawyer Kwadwo Kum who doubles as MP for Ahanta West.
The rest were; Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation and Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi Wiawso Dr Kwaku Afriyie, Western North Regional Chairman of NPP, Mr Williams Benjamin Assuah and other Regional Executives.
