The President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Friday, October 1 2021 begin a tour of the Ashanti Region as part of his nation-wide tour after getting the nod to govern the country for the second term.
The tour which is expected to last for four days will see the President pay a courtesy call on the Asantehe and the Asantehemaa at Manhyia.
The President will inspect the Kumasi Airport Expansion Project, Darko Farms Poultry Processing Plant, J.A. Kufour SHS, Creative Arts SHS at Kwadaso as well as the Abuakwa-Tanoso Road and Ohwimase-Twedie Road projects.
Other major projects to be inspected are the Lake Road Extension Project, Dompoase Junction to Aputuogya Road as well as the 30km Anwiankwanta to Obuasi road.
The President, on October 3, will commission an office complex for the National Health Insurance Authority at Bekwai as well as commission the Cocoa Ase Atro Turf.
The 250 capacity Regional Hospital at Sawua expected to increase access to health within the region, which is under construction would also be inspected by the President on October 3.
The President is expected to end his tour on Monday, October 4 2021 with Sod Cutting for the Trauma and Accident Hospital at Obuasi. This will also be followed by a visit to AngloGold Ashanti.
