Sefwi Anhwiaso Manhene Appeals Assembly Members to Endorse President’s Nominee

The Paramount Chief of the Sefwi-Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi ll, has call on Assembly Members in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality to endorse President Akufo-Addo’s Nominee, Mr Alfred Amoah as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Municipal Assembly.

He said the nominee would need to secure a constitutional requirement of two-thirds of Assembly Members present and voting to become the MCE for the second term.

He pledged to work closely with the Municipal Assembly to ensure accelerated development in the area when he is given the nod.

Ogyeahohoo Gyebi ll, who is also the President of the National House of Chiefs was speaking at the 10th Year Anniversary Celebration of his late father, Nana Kofi Adjei held at Sefwi Anhwiaso.

He also ceased the opportunity to plead with all and sundry to let peace prevail in all their endeavors so as to foster more development for the area.

The 10th year anniversary was attended by big wings of the ruling New Partrotic Party (NPP), these includes, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Mr Alfred Obeng-Boateng, Mr Alfred Amoah, MCE nominee for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly.

The rest are Mr Franklin Appiah-Kubi, NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr Joseph Amandeh Constituency Secretary, Mr Paul Andoh Constituency 1st Vice Chairman among others.

The occasion was also graced by dignitaries from all walks of life such as the clergy, traditional rulers,academia, bankers and head of institutions.
