Three persons have been arrested by the Bekwai divisional police command.
Other three persons are Solomon Nimako, a 17 year old JHS 3 student, Richard Nkrumah, a 15 year old JHS 2 student and a 16 year old Albert Opoku, a final year JHS student.
DSP Teddy Damptay Brown, Bekwai divisional police commander speaking to this reporter said the police made the arrest from the suspects’ hide outs.
According to reports, a 15 year old Richard Nkrumah confirmed using a broken bottle to stab the late, Richard Appiah.
Three other suspects, according to the police, are currently on the run. They include Kofi Nti, Ramsay Okyere and Kofi Atta.
Richard Kofi Appiah, a Final year student of the Oppong Memorial Senior High School (OMESS) at Kokofu near Bekwai of the Ashanti Region was stabbed to death by group of young men on Saturday night. Richard met his untimely death during a scuffle.
Through the scuffle, one of his attackers used broken bottle to pierce his loins. He bled profusely and collapsed, and was pronounced dead upon hospital arrival .
The body has since been kept at the facility’s morgue for autopsy and preservation.
