The NDC in the region is by this release expressing our deepest condolence and sympathy to the families who have lost their loved ones in the ghastly accident which occurred on the Ahwiaso stretch of the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North region today, 10th January, 2022.
This saddest news has thrown the region into a state of mourning and grief as many have been affected. It is indeed a pathetic situation which was least expected. No amount of words indeed can help calm the situation, but we wish and pray God will intervene in calming the bereaved families in this trying time.
The region has lost productive lives which cannot be replaced and it effect dire to the development of our infant region. We indeed have lost as a region. Not to remind ourselves of our pain, we experienced similar shock last year where more than seven lives were lost to similar ghastly accident on the Nyinahini road. Very unfortunate indeed. To those receiving treatment, it is our fervent prayer that God sees them through and gift them life.
In as much as we are consoling the families of the bereaved, we are appealing to the station masters to periodically give training and education to its members in order to curtail or avert some of these occurrences on our road. Drivers must be educated on road signs and to be extra careful when on the road most especially overtaking and over-speeding.
Lives lost indeed cannot be replaced!
May the gentles souls of the beloved find rest in the Lord till we meet again.
