The Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. William Benjamin Assuah has extended the initiative of providing smartphones to serial callers to the Sefwi Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency.
The initiative, which started with serial callers in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, he said, is not for the purposes of his re-election, as some people make it seem. Adding that, those who will elect him are Constituency Executives, elected by Polling Station Executives. And so, if the initiative was geared towards his re-election, he knows exactly where to channel the energy.
Addressing the serial callers, Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, emphasized that, knowing the key role that serial callers play, and considering that they are not induced, he thought it necessary to supplement their efforts by purchasing the smartphones for all serial callers across the region.
As if that was not enough, he also pledged to provide the 80 serial callers across the region with monthly airtime packages, as a way of acknowledging their contributions to the party.
Mr. William Benjamin Assuah further had an extensive discussions on job opportunities for serial callers, after which he admonished them have enough stomach to accommodate the nuisances and also do their political work devoid of insults and mockery of all forms.
Mr. Felix Foster Ackah, the Regional Communication Director, now a Presidential Staffer also touched on the manner in which party works are done.
Using himself as a benchmark, he indicated that despite his unfruitful attempts in becoming a Municipal Chief Executive, he did not go about blaming and tarnishing the image of the party and party folks. Instead, he kept his gaze and continued his work, which has ultimately made him a Presidential Staffer today.
Mr. Samuel Adu-Agyei and Mr. Bright Appiah, the Regional Organizer and Regional Research Officer, respectively urged the people to keep their focus and join forces as we approach the next elections. Adding that, it’s important to make sure what occured in 2008 will not happen again.
The serial callers expressed their gratitude and thanked the Regional Chairman for recognizing their efforts and coming to their aid.
