The Western North Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Michael Aidoo popularly known as “Big Aidoo” has extended his benevolence to over 300 tertiary students in Western North Region.
The Regional Chairman for some years now has offered opportunities to over 300 people in the region through free tuition tertiary education in his University and other public institutions as well.
The Regional Chairman, who is also the Founder and Chancellor of KAAF University College when addressing the beneficiaries at Sefwi Awaso on Monday 7 February ,2022 said the gesture forms part of his numerous plans to support brilliant but needy students in the newly created region.
According to him, private University was very expensive but as a businessman and politicians he believed the only way to rapidly develop as a new region through education.
“Though free Senior High School Policy is good but free tertiary education gives real opportunities to the youth since it’s that stage that provides them with the needed skills and qualifications needed for the job market which will indeed make them relevant in the nation building”, he stressed
He admonished the students to study hard in order to encourage him to do more for them and others who might request for his support.
Mr Aidoo was confident that with these supports Western North is on course to produce scorers in a nearby future.
Beneficiaries who could not hide their joy over this opportunity to achieve their educational aspirations expressed their delight and thanked Mr Michael Aidoo for responding to their plight.
